Have you heard about the new MEdia initiative? The convergence of interactive media along with television broadcasting?

What about the idea of being able to purchase an outfit worn by an actress on “Desperate Housewives” at the time of the airdate of the show? Being able to right click on any object on the set and order your own as the show is playing?

Not long ago I blogged about cable programming available for free through online providers like Joost, Veoh, or even Hulu. With Joost and Veoh, you can watch programming and chat in real time with other viewers. An interaction of sorts.

The future: Interact with the objects on the set or part of the costume of the characters. Tagging information in each frame of digital video for search purposes is part of this interaction.

Each frame filled with descriptors and tags for searchable content for every show, movie, or even commercial broadcast over our new digital television broadcast system.

MEdia = mine. I as the viewer can now interact with my own Media.

Keep watching as this develops!
